The process is simple.
To apply for WKO membership, please prepare and submit the following:

Documents Required:
1/ A copy of your current grade certificates that are authentic and can be verified.
2/ Photos of your dojo and a photo of yourself in your dogi  (similar to a passport photo).
3/ Application Form: Download and fill out the WKO Membership Application Form, available in the Application Section of this website.
4/ Submission: Forward all documents and photos to: info@worldkumite.org
5/ Fees &  Approval: If your application is accepted, you will receive an official letter from the WKO Hombu Dojo confirming your membership. You will also receive an invoice for the annual membership fee of USD $120. Upon payment, you will receive your official membership certificates, WKO badge, and pin for your blazer.
Please note: postage costs are not included.

Article 5:2 — Appointment of Exclusive Regional Representatives
第5条第2項：地域独占代表者の任命
1. General Principle般原則
The World Kumite Organization (WKO) recognizes that the appointment of exclusive representatives within a specific country or region must uphold the organization’s founding principles of fairness, unity, and non-political governance. Such appointments are therefore governed by the following terms and conditions to ensure transparency, stability, and continued global growth.
世界組手機構（WKO）は、特定の国または地域における独占的代表者の任命が、 公平性、統一性、非政治的運営という本組織の基本理念を堅持するものでなければならないと認識しています。 そのため、以下の条件に基づき、透明性・安定性・継続的な国際的発展を確保するためにこの任命は行われます。

2. Approval Requirement / 承認要件
Any appointment granting “exclusive representative status” for a region shall be subject to prior approval by both the WKO Board of Directors and the Acting President of the WKO. No appointment shall be considered valid or binding unless it has been reviewed, discussed, and formally ratified by these governing bodies.
地域に対して「独占代表者の地位」を付与する任命は、 WKO理事会およびWKO代理会長の事前承認を必要とします。 これらの機関によって正式に審議・承認されない限り、 任命は有効または拘束力を持つものとは見なされません。

3. Minimum Membership Tenure / 最低在籍期間
To qualify for consideration as an exclusive regional representative, the candidate or affiliated organization must have been a registered, active, and productive member of the WKO for a minimum of five (5) consecutive years. During this period, the candidate must demonstrate a consistent record of promotion, event organization, and development of WKO activities within their region.
地域独占代表者としての資格を得るためには、候補者またはその所属団体は 連続5年間以上にわたりWKOの登録会員として積極的かつ生産的に活動していなければなりません。 この期間中、候補者は自地域におけるWKOの普及、イベント運営、活動の発展において継続的な実績を示す必要があります。

4. Conditions of Eligibility / 資格条件
The proposed representative must:
• Exhibit impartiality and fairness, showing no bias toward any particular style, country, race, religion, or ethnic group;
• Maintain positive and ethical relationships with other recognized WKO members and branches within the region; and
• Ensure that the appointment does not create conflict or overlap with existing members, affiliates, or promoters under WKO.
候補者は以下の条件を満たさなければなりません：
• 特定の流派、国籍、人種、宗教、民族に対して偏りのない公正中立な姿勢を保つこと。
• 地域内の他の公認WKO会員および支部と良好かつ倫理的な関係を維持すること。
• この任命が既存の会員・加盟団体・公認プロモーターと競合または重複しないようにすること。

5. Restriction on National Exclusivity / 国単位の独占制限
Under the fundamental principles of the WKO, no single individual or entity shall be appointed as the sole controller or governing authority of an entire country. This regulation preserves WKO’s non-political inclusiveness, encourages multi-style cooperation, and supports steady global growth.
WKOの基本理念に基づき、いかなる個人または団体も 一国全体の唯一の統括者または支配権者として任命されることはありません。 この規定は、WKOの非政治的包容精神を維持し、多流派間の協調を促進し、 世界的な安定成長を支えるためのものです。

6. Revocation of Appointment / 任命の取消
The WKO reserves the right to review, suspend, or revoke any exclusive appointment should the representative act against these Articles, engage in political or discriminatory behavior, or fail to uphold WKO’s objectives and ethical standards.
代表者が本条項に反する行為、政治的・差別的行動を取った場合、 またはWKOの目的および倫理基準を守らない場合、 WKOは当該任命を再審査、停止、または取り消す権利を有します。

7. Final Authority / 最終権限
All decisions regarding the appointment, renewal, or termination of regional representation shall rest solely with the WKO Board of Directors and the Acting President, whose decision shall be final and binding.
